Ode to the Road Trip

"Twas the night before the big trip and all through the house

not a creature was stirring, except my computer mouse

The suitcases were packed with precision and care

with hopes that we did not forget underwear

The parents were nestled all snug in their bed

while visions of money spent danced in their heads

And I with my blog and sporting pants and a tank 

had just settled in for one last snore-less nap

For tomorrow will bring one great adventure

with stories to tell and pictures to share

So until we met again
