Hello Again

So now that I have finished my summer classes, finished my last day at work the only thing left to do is move and embark on this trip with mom. Mentally I don't think that it has sunk in yet, it still seems like this far off plan that I've hatched. Sadly to say this past year has flown by and in no time I will be finished with graduate school and moving on?! Or moving back?! Or buying a boat and sailing away.

Who knows. Anyway back to this trip, so I was chatting with Meg the other day and she pointed out something rather ponderous that I feel the need to share with you all. As we were discussing people's reactions to the trip, she asked me when the last time Mom had been away from Dad for more than 10 days. Which after thinking for a minute or two we figured out that it was 1985 when she went to West Germany with the Onondaga Central High School. Literally my mouth dropped into the holy shit face when I realized that they have not been apart that long since I was a baby.... meaning 27 years! Meg said "Holly you will be fine, but Mom and Dad aren't used to being apart like that". Which doesn't worry me too much, it just blows my mind that they have not been apart that long in almost 30 years. Considering I go years without seeing good friends and it doesn't even faze me at all. So I've determined that older people (the rentals age and such) think this is a cool idea and are psyched to read about it, whereas people my age give me this look of complete terror when they find out about this trip. Is it really that foreign of a concept to want to spend time with your parents? Or to be able to spend that much time with them and not go crazy? I didn't realize I was the quite the anomaly that I apparently am.

Alright well, keep checking back and soon enough we will have some pictures for you all, and I'll be sending shout outs to people that I know are checking!
